Cramer Gets Another W

Well the Bobby Cramer story keeps on going as he took the helm in the A’s 6-2 victory over the Twins.  Mark Ellis provided the fireworks as he continues to stay hot, going 3 for 3 with a two-run-shot in the 5th inning.

The A’s are pretty much out of it at this point, but they have their final homestand of the season coming up including a turn against the Rangers.  Click here for the box score, or the more for the wrap.

A’s Defeated by KC, 6-3

Two of our best starters went down two nights in a row, as Trevor Cahill joined GIo Gonzalez as the Royals most recent victim.  Cahill looked less than sharp, to say the least, as the A’s fell to 10 games back from Texas.

Now I am an eternal optimist, but it looks like it is time to think about 2011.  With that in mind, Geren has been shuffling the lineup like a deck of cards, and really making a mess of the stat books.  Click here for the box score, or the more for the wrap.

Bobby Cramer Gets First Major League Win

It was a long road for Bobby Cramer.  Kicked around the league due to an abundance of injuries, at times it looked like he would never make it to the league, but last night he debuted for the Oakland A’s, and he looked great.  Although he lasted just 5.1 innings, Cramer was able to strike out 4 and only let four hits on, one of which he quickly got out with a brilliant pickoff to second.  The A’s gave him all the support he needed; two gross runs and one moon shot from Jack Cust to win 3-1.  Click here for the box score, or the more for the wrap.

Adam Rosales Done for the Year

September 10, 2010

Well I am a very big Adam Rosales fan, and it pains me to say that he is officially done for the year.  Rosales was placed on the 15-day-dl after being sidelined with a stress fracture in the navicular bone of his ankle.  While he is recovering, it is taking longer than anticipated, and we will not be seeing him again this year.

Rosales has expressed frustration with the injury, as he believes the club can still make the playoffs, and he wants to do whatever he can to help them get there.  Thanks for the great season Rosales.

Behind Crisp, A’s Comeback to Win 4-3

The A’s took the series and with some style, as they came back from an early 3-0 deficit to come up with the win over the Mariners.  Unfortunately Texas won as well, but the W kept us back 7 and still with a shot with just 24 games left in the season.

The A’s looked in trouble early on, after Gio surrendered homeruns in the first and second inning.  Despite the early trouble, Gio lasted 6.2 innings with 9 k’s and only 6 hits.  Bailey and Breslow teamed up to shut down the Mariners for the rest of the game, allowing no one on base.  Click here for the box score or the more for the wrap.
