Great article! I would agree Kouzmanoff is a better all around player, not to mention he was a golden glove contender before coming to Oakland. I see Kouzmanoff’s FIRE HOT BAT in Sacramento!

Call Kouzmanoff back up! Oakland needs his bat. Sizemore needs more time to develop is bat.

I am a Tampa Ray fan and have posted this suggested trade locally. I believe it would benefit both teams as these playsers need a change of scenery.

Here is the proposal:
Rays send BJ Upton – CF and Kelly Shoppich – C to Oaklland for Coco Crisp – CF and Kurt Suzuki – C.

BJ would be the leading HR, RBI and SB leader on the A’s. Kelly Shoppich is a right hand hitting catcher with the same number of HR as Kurt Suzuki but a lower average.

The salary trade off would require the Rays to take on about $1.3 million in additional annual payroll.

The trade would likely benefit both teams as the A’s are looking for more “pop” in their lineup and BJ provides that. The Rays need to upgrade their catching and Kurt Suzuki would be expected to do that.

Both Coco and Kelly Shoppich are free agents at the end of the year, so the Rays and A’s can either keep them for the balance of the year or try to trade them this year for additional players.

If necessary the teams could include some additional prospects or “spare parts”. The Rays need more relievrs and have surplus outfielders so there could be some additional players added to make the deal work.

He may be a bust but I am going to give the kid at least one season before I make up my mind. After his slump last year he was fantastic.

Cgrid Carter can not hit the ball for s***
